About Me

 I am a qualified Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA, CGMA), HMT Better Business Cases Practitioner and commercially-minded Financial Analyst with 18 years’ experience in commercially-focused and analytical roles in the service sector, large multinational FMCG, aerospace manufacturing and Government-facing roles within the nuclear industry.

I have a track record of providing quality insights and analysis to support optimal decisions and drive value for money, always keeping an independent view, from empowering client teams to self-perform decision support activities to providing performance and strategic analysis to aid decisions regarding pricing, make or buy, contract terms and product lines.

I have extensive experience of working cross-functionally across the business or project and working closely with external advisors, having taken a lead finance role in a number of large-scale restructuring and commercial projects worth over £500M.  This included building financial models to evaluate strategic options, drafting and negotiating contracts, writing business cases, making recommendations and presenting financial aspects to key stakeholders and decision-makers.  This has extended to governance, due diligence and transition work for commercial projects.

I have also held customer-facing roles on long-term contracts worth over £600M, including management of the financial reporting cycle, KPI forecasts, integrated business plans, foreign currency hedging, contract reviews at board level and risk and opportunity management.  I actively provided advice to non-finance functions, challenging estimates and processes to drive value for money, savings and better forecasting across the project.   I also have considerable process improvement experience, including development of Critical Model procedures, Business Models, embedding better business case development, shortening the month end close, more insightful sales reporting and financial system separation.
